Academic
Partnerships

The PhD Room bridges the gap between institutions and the nontraditional doctoral students who too often fall through the cracks. We serve women who are veterans, career changers, distance learners, parents, caregivers, and first-generation scholars — and we're looking for institutions that want to serve them too.

About the Founder

The PhD Room was founded by Christine, a U.S. Army veteran, MBA graduate, and current doctoral candidate in Management at Wayland Baptist University. With over eight years of HR experience in the Army and a deep commitment to nontraditional women in academia, Christine built the community she needed but couldn't find.

She also holds an adjunct teaching position and is committed to building bridges between real-world experience and academic achievement — for herself and every woman in The PhD Room.
